ahhhh the hypocrisy of Amherst. they can have a Jewish symbol but no Christian symbol. not that I subscribe to either, but doesn't anyone else see it?

I'm not sure the town officially bans Christmas trees on the town common or not.

Although there was a world of controversy 15 or 20 years ago when the Jones Library put one up.

I just wish somebody would buy a few new lights (actually a lot) for the Merry Maple.

I would like to see someone demand the right to put a manger on the common. Now THAT would stir a few things up -- a Christmas tree is a pagan fertility symbol, hate to tell you that folks....
