Bike Path bridge over Snell Street is now reopened
DCR is so proud they slapped a permanent sign on each side of the new bridge, right about where an oversized truck will intersect with it someday.

Larry, I'm just curious. What were you doing when you were 18?
I love it. But one thing I don't get: putting the new bridge up across the top didn't widen the passage at all. Height is a problem for one numbskull truck every few years; narrowness and field of view a problem for every driver, every day on Snell Street. Hmmmm.
That would be a multimillion dollar job over many, many months - this was a few hundred thousand dollar job over a few weeks - the narrowness means SLOW DOWN and take turns yielding to oncoming traffic a.k.a. TRAFFIC CALMING - what's the freakin' hurry that another 3 seconds is going to hurt?
