Finally!

Metacomet Cafe, 27 South Pleasant Street

After nearly three years of teasing downtown traffic with a wicked cool retro neon sign, the Metacomet Cafe is finally set to open this coming Memorial Day weekend.

The cozy food cafe is owned and operated by brothers Trevor and Spencer Hopton,  and will be specializing in "the world's greatest hamburgers" (as well as sandwiches and salads).

That's the gayest looking Indian I've ever seen.

Another victim of the 500 year war. Poor Phillip. Shot and killed, his body cut into quarters and hung on trees. His head hung on a stake at the entrance of a fort for 20 years. His family sold as slaves. Let's hope the choice of the name of this establishment isn't a reflection of the business.

All that waiting for a burger and sandwich joint?

Now that would make an interesting rule: everybody has to post a selfie with their comment.

If they can get Berkshire Gas to hook them up.

We may need a bigger gas pipeline.
Wait, not in my back yard.

Berkshire gas has a moratorium on new connections.

New signs posted, now 'opening' May 30th. Of course they didn't say what year.
